Paper mache
Plan:
Paint the cardboard box black, and cover up all the holes. Flicker white paint over the back of the cardboard box to create the star effect.
Start making the planets with paper mache, paint the planets to the colour shown above (In the diagram).
Use the string and attach it to the planets, cut some holes in the top of the box, thread the string through it and hold the planets in place.
Finish the touch ups
Outcome:
The original plan was to use balloons and to paper mache them but we soon found that it wasn't going to fit, so in the end, we ended up changing the whole plan and used ping pong balls as they were easier to work with. We kept the sun as paper mache. Something i would to better next time is take more time to plan out and add more detail!
