 This term we are going to be having a look at the Holocaust, At the beggining we will be looking at the great depression.



Why was Germany hit the hardest during the depression?

In 1929 the Wall Street Crash led to a worldwide depression, Germany suffered more than any other nation as a result of the recall of US loans, which caused the economy to collapse.


What did Germany have to agree to by signing the Treaty of Versailles?

The Treaty of Versailles gave Germany new boundaries. Germany was required to accept responsibility for causing all the damage of the war that was. They had to pay an unspecified amount of money in reparations.


How was New Zealand Affected by the depression?

The great depression originally started in the united states but the depression reached New Zealand, The depression reached us because we are an agricultural country. We started losing money because they no longer brought our product. Unemployment in New Zealand rose to 12%, and those that were lucky enough to keep their jobs lost 20% of their income
